It nearly took 19 hours for Crew Dragon to reach destination NASA astronauts Douglas Hurley and Robert approached space platform known as International Space Station. To connect a spacecraft with the space station too much patience is required and the crew performed it without any incident.
While traveling towards the destination in space astronauts discovered the name they opted for their space capsule. they named it Endeavour that actually means to strive. It was the name of the space vehicle that decommissioned in 2011. Meanwhile, Russian Soyuz space vehicle used by American astronauts.
The space vehicle Endeavor to the international space station at 4:16 pm some 422 kilometers above the region of China and Magnolia. And the spacecraft was docked to the destination at 4:27 pm.
Astronauts and engineers on the ground worked several hours to ensure pressurization and maneuvers of that space chamber before connecting the spaceport. Then it became possible for Robert Behenken and Douglas Hurley to join their mates American Chris Cassidy and Russian Anthony Ivanishin already waiting for them in the space station.
“have you been able to get some sleep? “ questioned by Jim Bridenstine while welcoming the two guys in space station . “ yes we gave had an excellent night “ Behnken responded.
A SPACE TAXI
For the last nine years, this mission is carried out in the mid of COVID19 with two persons on board only to ensure the safety of three astronauts who are already serving on the space station.
This is going to be the new horizon in the future space missions, where the mission is accomplished by a space vehicle manufactured by a private company. In this mission a reusable rocket was used to launch the vehicle, that was recovered to use again. This strategy will cut the cost of space missions in the future.
It is supposed that this SpaceX vehicle will not only be used to transport astronauts to the space station but it will also serve those who wish to go for space tourism.
